Ingredients

1 box of brownie mix (for a 9x9 pan, plus required ingredients on the box)

1 cup Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed, plus extra for topping

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup all-purpose flour

¾ cup brown sugar, packed

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Prepare the Brownie Base: In a large mixing bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Once mixed, fold in the crushed Oreo cookies gently. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Make the Cookie Dough Layer: In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and milk, mixing until smooth. Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until combined. Finally, fold in the mini chocolate chips.

Layer the Cookie Dough: Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough mixture over the brownie layer in the baking pan. Use a spatula to spread the dough out gently, covering as much of the brownie base as possible. It’s okay if some brownie peeks through.

Add Toppings: Sprinkle additional crushed Oreo cookies on top of the cookie dough layer for extra crunch and visual appeal.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Cool and Cut: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 20-30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Serve and Enjoy: Enjoy these decadent, gooey brownies at room temperature or chilled!
