Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) Chocolate Cake Mix

1 package (3.9 oz) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix

4 cups Milk

1 package (8 oz) Cream Cheese, softened

1 cup Powdered Sugar

1 container (12 oz) Whipped Topping (like Cool Whip)

2 packages (15.35 oz) Oreo Cookies, crushed

1 bag of Gummy Worms (for decoration)

Fresh Mint Leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and bake it in the greased dish for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

While the cake is cooling, mix the instant chocolate pudding with 4 cups of milk in a medium bowl. Whisk until well combined and let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.

In another large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Gently fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.

Once the pudding has thickened, fold it into the cream cheese and whipped topping mixture until evenly combined.

Crumble the cooled chocolate cake into the bottom of the 9x13 baking dish. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the crumbled cake.

Next, sprinkle one package of crushed Oreo cookies over the pudding layer.

Add the remaining pudding mixture on top of the crushed Oreos, followed by the rest of the crushed Oreos for a dirt look.

For decoration, place gummy worms on top of the cake, partially buried in the Oreo “dirt”. You can also add fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.

Refrigerate the dirt cake for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld together before serving.
